What a festival it was too! We broke all Box Office records with attendance across the festival reaching over 75% and just under 3000 tickets sold!!
Well done to one and all. Thanks to the fantastic companies who presented some of the most exciting, new and on occasions outrageous work!!
Thanks too, to those hard core Festival Freddies who supported so many events – you know who you are!
Year on year the festival gets better and better – so bring it on - Pulse ’09!
Applications for the ’09 festival will open on the 28thJuly ’08 and can be downloaded from the website – so DO IT!
Pulse ’09 runs from Fri 29 May – Sat 13th June ‘09.
Thanks again to everyone who participated, supported, drank and danced…it was a winner!
For those hard core Cultural Cats of you who will be in Edinburgh for the festival – I may see you there! We will be on the look out for Pulse shows and for a couple of Pick Of The Fringe shows for the New Wolsey Theatre Autumn season! So see you there!

All of the Pulse Team here at the New Wolsey are gearing up for tonights premier event - Pulse Late Night Shopping! we're expecting to see all you Festival Freddies here and a few Cautious Cats too.We decided that because there is so much anticipantion for Pulse in the region, we should be able to help people make the most of their festival experience. So, the folks responsible for bringing the work to Ipswich are on hand to help you plan your festival diary, hence - Late Night Shopping, theres a glass of free wine too, so whats to think about?!
Pulse Late Night Shopping - tonight, 7-10pm at the New Wolsey Theatre, be there!!
Planning for the festival is going really well. Analogue arrive on Monday for a two week residency at the New Wolsey Studio, leading up to them opening Pulse with a sharing of the work in progress Beachy Head. There are two nights for this event, which is good, because the first performance is practically sold out already!!
On another note, a Pulse '07 success story.... Story Of A Rabbit, which is the Hoipolloi & New Wolsey Co-production that opened the '07 Festival, returns to the New Wolsey main house for two nights following a successful Edinburgh Festival, National and International Tour!! The show plays on the 30th and 31st May, see you there!
